C.P. Neill is a writer, photographer, whisky-drinker and lover of taking long walks in inappropriate shoes.

She is particularly fascinated by human consciousness, grief, language and theoretical physics.

She cooks well, bakes badly, takes on impractical projects she hasn’t the skills or the time for and has a mostly manageable preoccupation with the sea.

You can generally find her up a cliff, at her computer or playing with her cats but she’d rather you didn’t.

Nearest the Sky is a repository of pictures, poetry and general musings that will be of interest to nobody other than her mum.

C.P. Neill primarily writes short-form poetry exploring themes of trauma, loss and love and has only recently been brave enough to share her work.

She has no knowledge of poetic form and her grammar is appalling. She is writing a book and has a headache.

She is chronically prone to reflection and unfortunately may sporadically blog her thoughts.

If you don’t support Black Lives Matter or trans rights then she impolitely asks that you piss off.

C.P. Neill currently lives, works and writes from Cardiff, Wales but has a terrible habit of wandering off somewhere new every few years and has previously called many places home including London, Los Angeles and Woodley.
